Welcome to the Flying Shop !
Welcome to The Flying Shop of Imagination.
We bring words and art together in exciting creative adventures for children and young people. (And sometimes those a wee bit older).
We work in schools and the community with all key stages designing bespoke creative projects.
We run online creative writing and art clubs.
Subscribe to our monthly online Creative Writing Magazine Telling Tales, and download resources and activities and watch out for our monthly original story podcasts.
We love playing with words and ideas, creating fabulous activities and resources to inspire writing and art. They can be downloaded here.
We feature the best and most thrilling children’s writing on our blog and in our magazine.
We think that everyone should have the right to a creative education so 25 percent of all our profits go to The Schoolbox Project which works with trauma informed education, art and play to help refugee children. You can find out more about them here.
“This is the third time we have taken a flight with the Flying Shop of Imagination and we were not disappointed. The end results are always so beautifully presented that it makes us proud to have been part of these projects. Your workshops were inspiring and it was amazing to see how poetry came so naturally to some of our younger children who sometimes find the skill of writing a challenge. Thank you Belona and Kate for being so accommodating with our initial ideas and for working within a time frame to suit our busy timetables. We look forward to working on future projects together.”
