Angels in the Abbey

The Flying Shop of Imagination flew to Wymondham Abbey as part of the Wymondham Literary Festival, Wymondham Words in September 2016 and worked with six schools in the region in after school sessions.

The Flying Shop was called by the 63 angels who populate the Abbey.  Served with notice that some of them had to retire, the angels called on the children to let the world know about the life of an angel in flight and to tell stories about ways that challenging situations can improve.

We explored the idea of flight.  What does it feel like to have wings?  Where does an angel go? What does an angel do? What do they keep in their Angel toolkit?
